The best T Bar is right in your front door
If you live in a large city such as Lansing or anywhere in Michigan, you may have lots of leftovers from your past life as a city dwell. Your T Bar may show up in your driveway, garage, or even your window. It’s your most obvious reminder that you’re in the city. Keeping your T Bar as a top priority is to reduce the risk of an accident in your city. Whether you drive an older model car or a newer model, the same rule applies: don’t drive like an idiot. In order to reduce the risk of an accident, ensure that you’re keeping yourself on the right side of the speed limit in all directions. Currently, the speed limit in Lansing is 90 mph. It’s recommended that you slow down to 78 mph or faster in your area if you’re coming from a city with a high speed limit. If you see a car suddenly accelerating and stopping at a red light, try to stay in the middle of the intersection. If you see a car suddenly accelerating and going into a smooth country lane, slow down and look out. Even if you don’t see a car suddenly accelerate, be aware of what your car is doing.
Don’t drive like an idiot
If you frequently drive a manual transmission or a automatic transmission, you may find that your driving is often below thebeltline. This may sound like a negative but it’s actually a positive as it only takes a small increase in speed to get an increased chance of a accident. Fortunately, there are some ways to improve your driving level. First, make sure that you’re wearing proper shoes when you drive. If you get a pair of old flip-flops, run them in the ditches instead of the road. This way, you’re less likely to get your feet stepped on. Getting your toenails done at the same time is a bad move. If you’re in a rush, you can always take an Uber or an HGV but do it carefully.
Always watch out for potholes
The road is a dangerous place to drive as potholes are everywhere. Make sure you’re always watching for them as you drive. You may not even know that you’re doing it as you may not even see the pothole until you’re at least 40 feet from it. Potholes are usually 2-4 lanes wide and may extend for a short distance before closing. If you see a pothole, bring your vehicle to the right side of the road. This will allow you to avoid a collision and the damaged or stolen vehicle. On the other hand, if you see a car doing a U-turn and heading in the wrong direction, brake and stay in the right lane. Even if you see a car doing a U-turn, be careful as you may not be able to avoid hitting it.
Keep an eye out for cars that have skid plows
If you see a car doing a U-turn or flipping out in a skid path, brake and stay in the middle of the road. The driver of the car must have the right of the road right of the skid. If the driver is wrong on the right and you’re on the right, you’re in trouble. On the other side, if the driver is on the wrong side of the tracks, you’re in trouble as well. The side that you’re on may not have enough room to stop or even come to a complete stop. Furthermore, the side that’s too far or that doesn’t have adequate room for both you and the car in front of it is also at risk of precipitation or ice. Make sure you’re on the correct side of the road in all lanes before making a move as these may be the most important aspects of your driving.
Have a backup furnace
Backup heating is something that almost every car enthusiast and owner of a vehicle can attest to. Without it, you’re at a huge risk of having to replace your power steering or power front brakes before even the cold weather sets in as they may require special tools or a pumping contest to get them out. A good backup heating system can make your life easier if any of the above incidents happen. It will keep your vehicle at proper temperature and avoid costly repairs. You can either go with a utility company or use an after-hours ice machine. These devices will only work if your car is inside and the engine is disconnected. However, if you keep your vehicle outside, these devices will work just as well.
Make sure your brakes are clean and working
If you’re found in a crash and your brakes are not set in place to prevent you from hitting the ground, it can be very difficult to get out of. Fortunately, there are steps you can take to make sure that you’re able to stand up and walk away from a car before it’s too late. One of the most important steps is to ensure that your brakes are clean and working. This is important for two reasons. One, it’s cheap to replace your brakes at least once a year and two, you want to leave a good amount of carrès behind you when you get out of the car and move onto the next thing.
